Construction / Asphalt Project Manager

The Hatch Group, Inc. is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in our Plainville, MA office. This person will head the successful execution of a variety of projects from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time-management, communication and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced environments with experience in construction or asphalt.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver on-time and on-budget projects to our customers - Provide Keep project timeline and deadline requirements at the forefront of all scheduling meetings and provide Gantt scheduled to clients as they update
• Communicate with clients - Drive contact with clients throughout the project lifecycle to understand/set expectations, establish timelines and grow the relationship.
• Manage resources - Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to identify and allocate the necessary resources for each project.
• Develop project plans - Create detailed plans for each project to outline execution strategy including objectives, schedule, and cost.
• Track and communicate progress - Measure performance for presentation to clients and internal leadership.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 2-3 years experience in project management
• Experience in construction or asphalt a must
• Hoisting license and ability to operate various pieces of equipment 
• PMP Certification preferred, but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Advanced skillset in time management and task prioritization
• Passion for managing teams and driving results
• Ability to multitask and identify opportunities for process improvement

This position requires flexible availability to include occasional scheduling coordination after hours and on weekends to prepare for upcoming jobs. Occasional calls as mentioned typically last 15-20 minutes and can occur between 6-7PM if needed to regroup. Group texts are created to alleviate need for calls.
