Roller Operator Responsibilities: -
- Operate the roller and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Safely operate roller in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling asphalt to desired compaction and smoothness
- Participate and promote a team approach and maintain a positive and helpful attitude with team members
- Work in a safe and responsible manner
- High school diploma
- Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA10
- Medical DOT Card
- Prior experience operating equipment (roller, screw, compactor)
- Experience with up to 10lb ton
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions from Foreman and Supervisors
- A sound understanding of health and safety codes
- A positive outlook and a willingness to learn
- Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour, Prevailing Wage Rate $75+ per hour
- Monday - Friday shifts start at 6AM, occasional nights and weekends required
- Snow removal required during winter months
